Lake District Art Escape September 2002

This is an opportunity for deaf artists living in the UK to spend a free week in a beautiful rambling farmhouse set in 16 acres in the Lake District.

No matter what medium of art you like to work in - painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking - this could be a week for you to enjoy with other deaf artists.

There will be a small budget available to artists to purchase new materials to help them create new art during the week. The farmhouse also has a renovated barn that can be used for working in doors.

The week will include group art challenges where participants will be encouraged to explore new materials and work as a team. There will be visits to the Grizedale Forest, a world renowned outdoor art centre, to art galleries, waterfalls and other places of interest.

A professional exhibition will take place at a leading London arts space - Candid Arts Gallery in London. Artists will also receive a C.D. Rom porfiling their work and documenting the week.

The week will take place from the 14th to 21st of September 2002 and there are limited places available. Food is included and we can help with travel expenses to and from the Lake District.
